One of the tastiest scans we ever made (aside the macarons: https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/food/miscellaneous/polypasta-macaron-01).
We needed to scan a strawberry slice for a client and this in winter. So we were lucky to get some in the store near by. So then we decided to give it the first try and see what we get. At first sight we thought this couldn't be too hard. Everywhere are these little grains and stuff so the reconstruction with photogrammetry couldn't be a problem.
Then we saw the first result and we knew: this is going to be a lot of work in ZBrush.
But some hours later we were really really happy and needed to eat these tasty red beauties.
Next thing is that we have the leaves within the same mesh and scans as the starwberry. Those came out quite good from photogrammetry reconstruction but we don't have any maps for the different transmissions of the leaves and the strawberry itself.
Feel free to show us your 3D food illustrations on that one. You can really go close to get all the amazing details in your shots as you can see in the preview renderings.
This product only contains the 3D model of the strawberry. Not the other assets visible in the images.
