Hey all!

I've done many tutorials over the years and have gotten a few requests for the tutorial result file, so, I've finally gotten to make it available.

What a result this was and I'm very proud of this tutorial! The Eevee update was, as usual, an improvement!

When I hit the compositor to run, the result was not pleasing - it ended up that the passes are not affected by the refraction and things in the same way, BUT, I can say this - it certainly did NOT make for a bad result - I was still able to use the same methods, but just in Eevee AND also get a better result!

Included:Tutorial file - Blender Render, 2.77aEevee Update - Blender - 2.93

If you came from the video, you know exactly what to expect from the Blender Render file, but the eevee one contains a few extras:

  • Subtractive caustics using the same texture as for the water animation
  • Hashed shadows for smooth shading
  • Clearer distinction between under water and above water
  • Z-pass based over mist-pass based depth influence
  • Some camera animation and smoother shadows
  • Simplified toon shading for speed
  • Reduced blue influence to give the water more clarity

If you were curious how to transfer this to Eevee, this update will blow your mind at how easy it really is and how fantastic the results are! :D
