Large quarry scenario with very interesting pyramid excavation stairs. The model is georeferenced in UTM coordinates and it was generated at full scale with controlled precision to ensure proportions integrity and this means that it can also be used for spatial analysis purposes (linear and volumetric measurements, profiles and cross/sections, check DEM thumbnail). After some rendering tests I found out that there was some potential to use it as a remote scenario on some dusty dark world. The model is very versatile and with some quick changes on light settings the possibilities are endless. Generated in metric system, with an approximated area 176ha/435ac, 1.6km/1mi in length , 300m/984ft relative heights difference, the model was originally generated from aerial imagery, native format (.obj) with base texture (.mtl plus .png unwrapped files) included. I set up some lights and rendering settings to showcase the model and these elements are also included in the model package (.blend) suach as environment sky, textured horizon plane, main light source, road lights and a volumetric haze. In blender the model was proportionally reduced to 1/10 its original scale and brought next to origin o improve performance but .obj will open at original scale and georeferenced coordinates.
