Asama is an active complex volcano located in the central part of the island of Honshu, Japan. Height - 2568 m. In 1783, a strong eruption occurred, destroying 48 villages and up to 10 thousand people. As a result of the last volcanic eruption, which began on February 2, 2009, part of Tokyo was covered in ash.
