General Description & lore
This model is a minecraft-chunk sized Tile (16x16 minecraft blocks) of a Nether Portal, built in a similiarly nether/hellish themed landscape.

Important information regarding model and texture handling
Importing models:When importing models into your workflow in 3Ds Max, don't forget to set a smoothing modifier, to counteract the basic smoothing that 3Ds Max applies, otherwise the model will not work properly.
Importing textures:When importing the textures, dont forget to set the filtering to NONE, otherwise your textures will not work properly. (This is done to counteract the texture smoothing, which in this case of minecraft's low resolution textures will produce a smudgy mess instead of a clear texture.)
