Powell is a reservoir on the Colorado River located in the U.S. states of Utah and Arizona. The second largest reservoir in the United States of America after Meade, holds 30 km³ of water at high water. In 1972, the lake and its surrounding areas became part of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
