The Perfect Model for Real Ancient Roman Environment Rendering!
Accurate reconstruction of a typical Roman Bridge with the main characteristics of the famous Ancient Roman bridge type model Pons Augustus in Rimini [Italy].
The Pons Augustus bridge, dating to the first century, still exists and works. The Rimini Bridge is called also 'Tiberius Bridge'. Rimini was the ancient roman colony of Ariminum, near the river Ariminus [now Marecchia]. The bridge was built over this river. The construction of the bridge started under the emperor Augustus in 14 and ended under Tiberius in 21.
The 'Roman Bridge Model A' features also a few typical characteristics of Imperial Ancient Roman bridge engineering. The original decorations, which are all lost, have been replaced with real typical I century Augustan decorations, to give the correct overall character to the bridge. For a Philological rendering all the decorations can be easily removed.
