The Royal Salt Factory of Arc-et-Senans was built in the mid-XVIIIth century in Free-County by Nicolas Ledoux and was thought as an ideal industrial city including housing for workers, etc. It is nowadays a museum and congress center.
The scenery was modeled and created in Lightwave 11.
It is also recommended to use this scene with Lightwave 11+ !
Native instancing will require Lightwave 11. For other users, I have also included a scene without instances, but with proxy layers for bushes and trees : this scene should load without problem into 9.6 or 10+ and then, you can use the proxy layers to instance the grass, trees or bushes with external plug-ins like HDI or DPI.
Objects use a lot of nodal and procedural texturing, even if most of the textures are UV-mapped for easy interchange. This said, I can't guarantee the result if you try to load the lwos in any other package than Lightwave 9+. Also note that the scene is 2M polys heavy before instancing, so it will require quite a powerful computer to load it (8 GB memory recommended)
Use of this scene with any other app than Lightwave is not recommended.
