¡Welcome to Tequendama falls in 3D-VR!
Accurate and realistic scene.
Beautiful natural waterfall, located in the municipality of Soacha in the department of Cundinamarca. It is about 30 km southwest of the capital of Colombia, Santafé de Bogotá. According to the native American Muiscas myth, it was created by divine action to evacuate the waters that flooded the Bogotá savanna. After a lazy travel of more than 100 km along the cundiboyacense plateau and the savanna, the Bogotá river falls from about 157 meters on a rocky abyss that builds the waterfall in a forest zone with permanent mist. There are two hydroelectric plants before the waterfall, using the waters of the Bogota river, El Charquito and the Muña dam, made the falls lose much of its water flow, with the great and disorderly growth of the capital, the river and its tributaries were chronically contaminated. Nowadays there are huge master plans to decontaminate the river from local authorities.
So far the only 3D-VR digital reconstruction.
