Reflective Sundial clock at Lycée Stendhal - Grenoble,France
This thesis is an introduction of representation on reflective sundials in the 17th century which has multiple layers of information from history to astronomy by applying representation methodology. The survey is about the magnificent sundial clock located at Lycée Stendhal in Grenoble, dat¬ing from 1673. The sun clock at Grenoble is a testament to the tech¬nological advances of the 17th century. This clock is built in fresco and covers 100m2 of wall and ceiling space. It does not require any elec¬tricity or internet connectivity. Its creator - Jesuit Father Jean Bonfa and his student had compressed many data into this fresco, including history, mathematics, astronomy, and geography. The construction of sundials, particularly reflected ones, was evidently a passion for scholars during this time. Therefore, it is difficult for ordinary visitors to comprehend all of the information of this piece of art. The purpose of this paper is to pres¬ent all the information about the building in a visual way so readers can get a better understanding of it.
