The Bodegas Guell, or Celler Guell, is one of Antoni Gaudi's lesser known buildings, built in 1897-1900, but still is one deserving of a lot of interest. The model is a recreation of a very peculiar type of building, shaped as a giant stone tent, with walls rising from the ground to become a sloped roof. The building also incorporates organic and abstracts chimneys, a trademark of Gaudi's work. Built before the Palacio Guell for the same famous Spanish benefactor, the Bodegas Guell comprise of 3 levels, shrinking in size to the top, with a chapel on the last floor, leading to a campanile with an open view ou to the sea.
Native format is 3dsmax.Each small part of the building is a distinct editable poly, shaped as closely as the real building, with its own texture UV unwrapped around it. Textures were hand made in Substance, and come in very high resolution for the big chunks of the building.
Exports from 3dsmax: fbx, obj and 3ds.All texture in the package. Renders with Vray show the wireframe, 3D print and finally textures materials.
For all Gaudi fans out there, please enjoy this recreation, which was as painfully long as it was satisfactory.
