Model name: San Diego City of USA Based on: March 2020 data Scene formats : C4d, 3ds, Fbx, obj, stl, abc, dxf, etc.
3d city model with clean structure with properly grouped elements. You will get the exact same result when used the native Cinema 4d render. Physical render is faster and is recommended.
The scene contains all city elements including different buildings, land details, road, bridge, railway, water structures with subgroups. You can easily select, modify or hide certain groups. All the objects are properly named, added material and organized hierarchically.
All the data are obtained from Openstreet map data which is relevant and updated regularly. Roads, railways, waterways represent real-world data which can be used for generating traffic.
Buildings are extruded based on real world foot prints and the heights are same to the real-world buildings. However, there are certain buildings which are randomly extruded because lack of data in the server.
Buildings roof shape and top structure may vary. The bridges are place holder meshes only. You can replace them with real bridges accordingly.
The scene is made simple and with minimum details and textures so that it can be loaded and edited smoothly in a wide variety of systems and applications. All the objects are optimized and are with clean topology.
You can easily add details to the city with the data provided. For example this city scene doesn't include trees and vegetations, but you can simply scatter or clone trees on the surface (just select forest, tree, landcover, etc.).
The city is originally modeled in Cinema 4d (you can open it in different versions of C4D) and contains all nurbs and curves data. You can easily make adjustments such as widening the roads, railways or even changing them at once.
For other 3d applications there are different formats included such as FBX (with materials) , OBJ (with materials) , stl, 3ds, etc. I recommend using OBJ or FBX and import them in your 3d application and reload the textures provided or use your own favourite materials. Replacing the materials is easy because minimum numbers and proper naming. Once loaded you can merge ALEMBIC or DXF file on top of the polygon and can recreate the road, rail, water details or add traffic. Alembic and DXF are 2d files with the curve information only. Check all images before purchasing, if any doubts you can drop a message. You can ask for a specific city also.
The scene includes following groups/objects (depending on the original data some parts may be missing).
