Magdeburg Cathedral Germany Magdeburg Cathedral (German: Magdeburger Dom, full name Dom zu Magdeburg St. Mauritius und Katharina) - dedicated to St. Mauritius and Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral of the Evangelical Church of Central Germany in the German city of Magdeburg in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt.

The cathedral is the burial place of the first Holy Roman Emperor, Otto I, and is considered one of the oldest Gothic churches in modern Germany.
