Wiesbaden is the capital of the federal state of Hesse in western Germany. Among the city's main attractions is the neoclassical Kurhaus, which now houses a conference center and a casino. Nearby there is an English-style spa park founded in 1852. On the Palace Square rises the red neo-Gothic Market Church, and next to it - the former Ducal Palace, which now houses the Land Parliament. In the Museum of Wiesbaden, you can see paintings by the expressionist Alexei von Jawlensky and exhibitions on natural history.
