Palma de Mallorca is a resort city and the capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca, located in the western Mediterranean Sea. The 13th-century Gothic cathedral of La Seu rises above the Bay of Palma. Nearby is an Arab fortress and the royal residence of Almudaina in the Moorish style. In the western part of the city, on a hill, there is a medieval castle of Belver of the original round shape.
