Ottawa is the capital of Canada, located on the river of the same name in the southeast of Ontario, near Montreal and the border with the United States. In the city center is Parliament Hill, which is famous for its stately Victorian buildings and the National Gallery of Canada, which displays famous works of Canadian and Indian artists. On the banks of the parks, the Rideau Canal is ideal for boat trips in summer and ice skating in winter.
