Nantes is a city on the Loire River in the Upper Brittany region in western France, which has a large port and many industrial enterprises. The city is famous for its reconstructed medieval castle, which for several centuries was the residence of the Dukes of Brittany. Now the castle has a museum of local lore, which hosts multimedia exhibitions. In addition, tourists can walk along the fortress walls built around the castle.
