Hamburg is a large port city in northern Germany, located at the confluence of the Elbe River and the North Sea. It is famous for its countless canals and huge parks. In the center of Hamburg you can take a boat trip on Lake Alster, where numerous cafes are located along the embankments. The main street of the city, Jungfernstieg, connects Neustadt (New Town) and Altstadt (Old Town), where the 18th-century St. Michael's Church is located.
