Gothenburg is a large city in Sweden, located on the west coast of the country at the mouth of the Göta-Älv river. It is an important seaport, famous for its Dutch-style canals and shady boulevards, including the Avenyn, the city's main thoroughfare, full of cafes and shops. Other attractions include Liseberg, a popular amusement park with themed rides, stage venues and a sculpture garden.
