Budapest is the capital of Hungary, divided into two parts by the Danube River. The chain bridge, built in the 19th century, connects the hilly Buda region and the flat Pest. You can take the funicular to Castle Hill, where the Old Town of Buda and the Budapest History Museum are located, the collection of which introduces the history of the city since the Roman era. On Holy Trinity Square there is the Matthias Church, built in the 13th century, and the Fisherman's Bastion, whose towers offer a magnificent view of the city.
