Addis Ababa is the capital of Ethiopia, located in a mountainous area on the border with the East African Rift Valley. It is a large city, commercial and cultural center of the country. It houses the National Museum, displaying Ethiopian art, traditional handicrafts and prehistoric fossils, including a replica of the famous hominin Lucy. No less interesting is the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity crowned with a copper dome - an architectural monument in the neo-baroque style. Emperor Haile Selassie, who ruled in the 20th century, is buried there.
