Gear pumps are mostly used for transferring viscous fluids under high pressure by the rotation of the meshing gears. They are also more reliable than centrifugal pumps in terms of transferring viscous fluid under very high pressure. This is because gear pumps use suction by first drawing fluid into the cavity occupied by the meshing gears and with their rotation push the fluid via the exit hole.
This model was designed in Solidworks with accuracy to dimensions and tolerancing standards. It also includes other CAD formats like step files and STL files to aid the production of its parts.
