Description
  • Desk phones, also known as landline phones or desktop telephones, are traditional analog or digital devices specifically designed for use in an office or home setting.
  • This hardware allows you to answer, divert and make calls from your desk. The good news is that you don't need old-fashioned copper wires to install the hardware in your office, as VoIP-enabled devices make calls using an internet connection.
  • Telephones permit transmission in both directions simultaneously.
  • Most telephones also contain an alerting feature, such as a ringer or a visual indicator, to announce an incoming telephone call.

Making and answering calls with a desk phone

  • Pick up the receiver or, for hands-free access, press your speaker, headset or one of your line key buttons.
