Description
Lowpoly PBR realistic 3D model of a 60s vacuum tube radio, suitable for renders, games and real time applications.
Characteristics:
Simple geometry, most details are done with texturing.
Compatible with subdivision (mesh smoothing) without changing its original format.
Radio stations dial on the left side.
Entirely UV-mapped, with fully unwrapped UVs (non-overlapping UVs).
Objects and materials are descriptively and uniquely named.
Originally created with Maya LT, textured with Substance Painter.
Included formats:
Unreal Engine (uasset), compatible with versions from 4.24 and newer, including 5.
Unreal Engine (fbx + textures) for older versions, see notes at the end.
Blender 3.3.1.
Marmoset Toolbag 3.07 Scene Bundle.
Fbx, obj and dae (Collada) - Exchange formats (require adding the textures manually after you import them in your 3D editor).
Geometry:
Sealed geometry (no openings where backfaces would be visible).
The 4 feet and the radio are separated sealed geometries, belonging to the same object.
All objects are compatible with subdivision (mesh smoothing) without changing their original formats.
Total poly count is 1946 polys (quads and tris) and 1930 vertices.
This model consists of 3 objects: Dial (629 polys), Knob (335 polys) and Radio (982 polys).
Unreal format (uasset) consists of 3832 tris (Unreal supports triangles only).
Materials and textures:
Only one material: MatRadio.
All textures are 4096 x 4096 pixels (4K textures).
Blender and Marmoset formats use relative texture paths.
PBR textures set: color (with alpha channel), directx normal map, openGL normal map, height, metalness, ambient occlusion, roughness, opacity and ORM (composite ambient occlusion (R) + roughness (G) + metalness (B)).
Unreal format uses 3 PBR textures: color (with alpha channel), directx normal map and ORM.
Blender format uses 5 PBR textures: color (with alpha channel), height, ambient occlusion, metalness and roughness.
Marmoset format uses 3 PBR textures: color (with alpha channel), opengl normal map and ORM.
Exchange formats (obj, fbx, dae): no embeded textures, so you can import them from the PBR set, in accordance to the requirements of the 3D editor you use.
Units and measurement:
Real world scale.
Unit system is metric (centimeters).
Full model dimensions: 32.0 cm (width) x 19.0 cm (height) x 25.9 cm (deep).
Additional notes:
Preview images are rendered in Marmoset 3, unless otherwise informed.
Blender images with Eevee renderer were captured directly from the Shading panel, on a 4K screen.
Fbx and obj formats were exported by Maya LT. Collada (dae) format was exported by Blender.
The Unreal archive with textures and 3 fbx meshes (dial, knob and radio) is intended for import in versions of Unreal prior to 4.24 and requires manual adjustments in the dial and knob positions (explained in an included readme file). This is already done for you if you use the Unreal archive with uasset format (compatible with versions 4.24 and newer, including 5).
