This is a rigged character, the body control is used for movement of the character. each one of the stabilizing arms off the back of the bot have their own independent controllers for individualized movement and the eye of the robot has several moving parts controlled by their perspective controllers. The character also has an attribute that controls the color of the core visible on the sides of the character, this is used for individualizing when several are together, or to display moods. Colors are red, yellow, blue and white. Materials such as Blinn, Lambert and Phong where used in this model, no textures are applied. UVs are for the most part not unwrapped. The importance of secondary characters such as this is unrivaled, it allows for a fuller world and a much richer character experience. The download contains Maya file, OBJ and .MTL files for use on several platforms.
