Default textures in the .blend file have a resolution of 4096x4096. There is a 2K folder outside the .blend file with 2048x2048 textures. If you want to replace the 4K textures with the 2K ones, here are the instructions listed below:
In Blender, go to File > External Data and uncheck Automatically Pack Resources. Then go to File > External Data > Unpack Resources > (make sure the original TEXTURES folder is not stored in the same directory as the .blend file.) Then pick: Use files in current directory (create when necessary). When the textures folder is created by Blender, drag the 2K textures into the textures folder and replace the 2K in the texture file names to 4K. (Do not waste your time renaming every single file. Make sure you have Microsoft: PowerToys and use the PowerRename feature to save time.)
