Ghost Rider (known in Spain as The Ghost Rider and in Latin America as The Phantom Avenger) is the name of many anti-heroes that appear in published comics published by Marvel Comics. Marvel had previously used the name on a character from the west whose name was later changed to Ghost Rider. The first supernatural Ghost Rider is stunt biker Johnny Blaze, who, in order to save his father's life, agreed to give his soul to Satan (later to be an arch-demon named Mephisto). At night, and when evil haunts, Blaze's flesh is consumed by hellfire, causing his head to turn into a flaming skull. He then gets on a fiery motorcycle and shoots blasts of hellfire from his body, usually from his skeleton hands.
