Doctor Fate - known in Spanish as Doctor Destiny - is a character created by the DC Comics publishing house characterized by his magical powers, and one of the founders of the Justice Society of America. Created by Gardner Fox and Howard Sherman, it first appeared in the monthly magazine More Fun Comics # 55 in May 1940, and has been represented for 8 incarnations, save for a recently created alternate version bearing the same name as the last one. version and its DC Rebirth counterpart. It should not be confused with another character created by the DC Comics publishing house, also known in Spanish as Doctor Destiny but whose original name in English is Doctor Destiny. This other incarnation is a hooded villain with a skull-like face. It first appeared in Justice League of America Vol. 1 # 5 (June 1961) and was created by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky. He also appears named in the fifth and sixth episodes of the second season of the Justice League series.
