This is a simple model acting as the base or inner frame/skeleton design of a mech.
It's made to be outfitted with an outer frame or armor and equipment.
I would consider this low-poly.
Faces=14,820
Verts=16,348
Model is a single object (multiple mesh groups within of course)..
A simple limited 5% dissolve in Blender will cut poly count by 4000 (I left as is to maintain integrity for animations and leave you the choice to do as you wish with it)
It's originally inspired by art work of another artist I follow which can be found here.. https://www.deviantart.com/thedrowningearth/art/Comparison-Artemnia-I-546485392
The mech is referred to by him as a "Battle Frame" and is a manned/piloted machine, I modeled space for the cockpit to be outfitted with functional hatch doors.
I've made my own artistic interpretation and am sharing it in hopes that you may also be able to use it for you own projects.
All I ask in return is to be credited where due and notified (only because I'd love to see what you create yourself with this)
I will add outer frames and make changes with my next models and updates.
This model is rigged in its native file (Blender) and FBX..this is a more complex rig I'm told, but easy to use.
Please observe the bone constraints to see how it works more clearly..
Note= that the first bone of the index and the pinky are locked on rotation axis and other fingers will copy their rotations for ease of use (unless you turn those constraints off).
Hands and feet are on a copy rotations constraints that follow the feet and hand I.K bones..unless turned off..
There is a single simple walk animation that is NOT refined as I pulled the rig from another mech model of mine and just let the walk animation remain..(You can find it in the action editor in Blender)..
Don't forget to share any cool creations of your own you come up with this.
You can see more of my models and art work I have and will be releasing here and on
