This is a semi-realistic monster, I retopologies the face and UV-unwrapped it and gave it a color texture and a skin normal texture fort some extra detail and depth. The character is rigged with a simple armature and gave it some control-bones which use the benefit of the inverse kinematics for easier and faster animations. I gave the face some shape keys which you can change by using the shape-key sliders in blender to change the facial expression of the trollface character. If the character moves around the world on the axes the slimy shape moves (because of the displace modifier) to give it a more alive feeling, but for some reason it doesn´t happen if only the bones are moved for example the arm. The hole character (Armature) must change the global location for the effect to happen. The body is a simple material made with the nodes in blender.
