The Terracotta Army in Xian, also known as Terracotta Warriors and Horses, is a large collection of life-size terra-cotta sculptures in battle formations, replicating the troops of the imperial mega guard of Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259-210 BC), the first emperor of the first unified dynasty of Imperial China.
Being the most important archaeological excavations of the 20th century and a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Terracotta Army is without a doubt a must for all visitors to Xian.
