According to Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore, trolls are legendary beings living far from humans in remote places, such as forests and mountains. Their appearance varies greatly, but they are often described as giant, ugly, primitive and slow-witted creatures, roaming at night because they turn to stone upon contact with sunlight. Trolls are also ferocious predators, preying upon everything unlucky enough to cross their path, including humans.
