Hedgehog Sonic (Japanese ソ ニ ッ ク ・ ザ ・ ヘ ッ ジ ホ ッ グ Sonic the Hedgehog) is the main character in the Sega series of video games Sonic the Hedgehog, as well as comics and cartoons based on it.

Sonic is a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog created by artist Naoto Oshima, programmer Yuji Nakoy and designer Hirokazu Yasuhara.
