Bender is a comic antihero, profanity, an alcoholic, an avid cigar smoker, a fan of pornography for robots (in the form of electrical circuits), a kleptomaniac, a cook (his food in most cases is at least inedible, often life-threatening). In a critical situation, it is often the only one who panics. In the Benderama series, he was a total idler. Bender usually behaves like a complete egoist, cynic, misanthrope, but occasionally sympathy awakens in him (for example, the tortoise in the episode Crimes Hot) and friendly affection for Fry.
