Description

Realistic figures of Balthazar, Melchior and Caspar, the Three Wisemen of Christmas legend.

In one static pose, each of these figures is searching the heavens for the Star of Bethlehem. In the second pose, they are offering gold, frankincense and myrrh to the newborn Christ child. A fourth figure in this set; Parviz, is leading three heavily laden camels along their journey.

These reasonably high resolution figures are intended for illustrations - greeting cards, books and other forms of illustration. Designed for easy drop-in into modern rendering engines, the base color, roughness. metallic and opacity maps are embedded into the figures. An additional packet of materials contains the full suites of PBR (physically based render) maps (ambient occulsion, anisotrophy, etc.) for the clothing, hair and body parts of these figures. Substance Designer archive files with multiple color and texture options are supplied for the clothing materials.

Each of the figures, Parviz, Caspar, Melchior, Balthazar and each of the three camels are independent objects. You can position and scale each as desired. The clothing, hair and body parts are accessible so that you might apply alternative materials to each as desired.

A third additional packet in this set contains two very good unclipped HDR images for night lighting, along with fifteen diverse kinds of star-filled night sky background plates.

These figures are in *.FBX version 2020 file format that allows for embedded texture sets. Some older rendering engines will not import this advanced *.FBX version. For example, Daz Studio imports files in the 2013 version of *.fbx, but not any of the later *.fbx versions. Some rendering engines, such as Maverick Render do not correctly import an opacity map embedded in an *.fbx file. The hair, beards and eyebrows of these figures make use of opacity maps, so if your rendering engine does not automatically apply these to the figures, you may need to add the included opacity maps in your material editor.

Another product by the same author contains these four figures as rigged characters (meaning that they can be posed and animated as desired), although they are in lower resolution form.
