Superboy (also known as Kon-El or Conner Kent) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. A modern variation on the original Superboy, the character first appeared as Superboy in The Adventures of Superman #500 (June 1993), and was created by writer Karl Kesel and artist Tom Grummett. Not to be confused with young Clark Kent. The teenaged tactile-telekinetic clone of Superman, Conner Kent (also called Kon-El) has worn quite a few costumes as Superboy. The Teen Titans comic-book series written by prolific author Geoff Johns re-introduced Kon-El with a much more simplified version to his costume. When Conner was sent to live with Superman's adoptive family in Smallville, he replaced his costume with a simple outfit consisting of a black-and-red Superman t-shirt, blue jeans, and black boots, and I'm pretty sure that this is everyone's favorite Superboy costume. Due to his popularity this outfit was adapted into both live action and animation, on Smallville and Young Justice respectively.
