Description

Realistic character model for high-quality renders and for games. Including full body rig and facial rig (rigged with Auto Rig Pro).

Modular setup for clothes with separate skeletal meshes for shoes, pants, shirt, vest and coat. Rigged pistol model included.

The character is weightpainted so the rig holds up for most animation purposes. If you need more extreme body deformations, you might have to use blend shapes.

Contains the Blender 3.3 file, the Marvelous Designer project file and a fully set up Unreal Engine 5.0 project file with a fully functioning 3rd person Character blueprint and a simple Actor blueprint for animation. The rig is compatible with the SK_Mannequin skeleton, so no retargeting needed for standard UE5 animation assets.

Description of the packages in more detail:

----- Blender 3.3 Package -----

Midpoly Character in A-pose (including body, full outfit and guns):

• 391k Faces, 712k Tris 379k Vertices

• Rigged with Auto Rig Pro

• Clothes exported from Marvelous, no retopology

• Clean Weightpainting and UV layout

• Hair particle systems for Beard and Hair, plus an adjusted Hair system if the character wears a TopHat

• The gun is a skeletal mesh, with animatable trigger and slide.

• Hand-painted PBR textures in PNG format. Base Color, ORM (Occlusion, Roughness, Metallic), Normal (packed in unreal PBR format)

• One texture set for the Body (4K resolution)

• One texture set for the Outfit (4K resolution)

• Additional textures for Belt, TopHat, Shoes, Guns (4K resolution)

----- Marvelous Designer project -----

• Original MD project with UV layout

----- Unreal Engine 5.0 Package -----

• Complete UE5 project with characters, materials (including material instances) and textures.

• Two character blueprints: (1) Actor blueprint for animation purposes, and (2) Third person character blueprint

• Groom assets for the hair included. Cloth simulation on the Coat included (is turned off to improve performance, but can be turned on by checking the “Allow Cloth Actors” checkbox in the blueprints)

• The gun is a skeletal mesh, with animatable trigger and slide

• Material instances allow for quick adjustments for Base color brightness and the intensity of roughness and normal maps.

• Specific animations or poses are not included in this package, only the standard Manny / Quinn animations.

Important/Additional Notes:

  • The skeleton contains a number of child bones for the facial rig.
  • You need to activate Enable virtual texture support in the project settings, for the UDIM textures to work.

----- Other formats -----

• FBX files

• OBJ files

• Alembic files for the hair particle systems

----- Rendering info -----

The preview images were rendered in Blender 3.3 Cycles and Eevee, partly with HDRIs as background. The screenshots from UE were captured in UE5.0.
