Hello,
Thank you for the positive rating! Are the buttons and laces the only elements behaving oddly in Blender? I believe these parts were patented to the joints in Maya so are not bound as skins, but could be undergoing a double transform in Blender. deleting history on them in Blender and re-attaching them to the rig as rigid/non-deforming parts might solve the problem.
