Shriek-hawks, known as jai'galaar in Mando'a, were a species of predatory bird native to the planet Mandalore. The Mandalorian Clan Vizsla used an image of a shriek-hawk diving for its prey as their clan emblem, a symbol that was later adopted by the Death Watch Mandalorian faction.[1] The Mandalorian cataclysm had driven the species into extinction.
