He always has been the main protagonist in The Highlander series. The story follows many immortals fighting for centuries. Connor is one of these Immortals who survived for a long time.

Connor MacLeod is known to have used only two swords during his centuries-long life - the first a Scottish Longsword. The Highlander sword has an inscribed Macleod on its arched hilt. Connor used this Clan Macleod sword in his first battle with Kurgan in 1536. From then, it became the first collectible of Connor. The series does not explain that when and how Connor got this mighty cheap sword. He left this sword as a headstone on the grave of her wife, Heather MacLeod, in 1590. Later on, he used this sword against Kane in 1995. However, the sword rusted by time, so he found it right on Heather's grave.

Connor was born in Glenfinnan in 1518 in Scotland. He is the final immortal and a protagonist. He lived near the shores of Loch Shiel. The story finally leads to the greatest event, the Gathering where Connor was the only person remaining. What describes Connor is his bravery, and his swordship. He has an immense level of skills to handle and use his highlander sword. This sword played a fundamental role in defending him against his rivals and letting him achieve his goal.
