This scene demonstrates how jewellery with diamonds can be rendered as realistically as possible with Blender in Cycles. The scene shows how the proportions are, how the lighting should be set up and what material can be used. Furthermore, the settings for Cycles and the presentation as a whole are interesting. The scene also contains a 360 degree animation with the plate and the ring and the camera perspective is prepared for rendering the animation. Please note that the scene and all objects have approximately real sizes in millimetres!
You will also find a complete earring exported as FBX and as OBJ file, but without materials. There is a 360° film on Youtube that shows exactly this scene in an animation.
Update:
On YT in the channel FunWithBlender I have provided a tutorial series in which you can see the settings and the dispersion shader and also rebuild.
You can also see another intro with exactly the shader and a spinning diamond (already linked in the preview).
Only for the buyers here the shader is additionally extended. It can produce more light in the output than the lighting coming into an object. This can be helpful when calculating caustics, or in difficult lighting situations.
