A cultist mask based on my dnd 5e way of the sun soul monk character

The backstory of my character is that he was a struggling farmer looking for a way to make ends meet, so he joined a monk sect as a way to help his farm and himself little did he know that the sect he is working for are more sinister than they seem for they wish to reclaim pieces of their broken god so that it can be remade and whole again. Now he travels the lands to pursue and gather pieces of the god without knowing their true purpose of his task.

TLDR - monk character gathers pieces of a sinister god so that it can be remade, similar to the marker in the dead space series.
