The Polyguardians are not as good as they claim to be, they capture Vertician soldiers and torture them, dig into their minds to extract any information they can, this process often ends in death, some are tormented for so long they change into horrible zombie like creatures, but every so often a Vertician soldier escapes and causes havoc for the Polyguardians.
