MAZ-537 is a heavy four—axle all-terrain tractor for the needs of the Soviet Army, developed by the Minsk Automobile Plant SKB—1, chief designer - B.L. Shaposhnik. It was originally intended to transport bulky goods such as armored vehicles on paved and off-road roads. It has been mass-produced by the D.M. Karbyshev Kurgan Wheeled Tractor Plant since 1963, continuing to be marked MAZ. The second generation of tractors was developed in Kurgan, and these machines were named KZKT.
