This quaint two-seater was designed by Egon Brütsch for Société Air Tourist 1955–1958 only to prototype stage although several versions were made. My searches showed several different cars, but I could find no records of how many were actually produced. Some variants had two headlights.
Engine was single-cylinder 125cc or 150cc or 250cc using motors from Lambretta, Maico, Sachs or Ydral scooters. Three forward gears but no mention of reverse. And it was chain driven.Wheelbase 1470 mm - scales off some pics as 1585mmLength 2400mm Width 1350mm Track width 1200mmHeight 1050mm Ground clearance 180mm but seems to be lower.Fuel tank 8 litres with 2 litre reserveMostly a three-wheeler in tadpole configuration (2 front, one rear and a spare under the hood). One example had two closely spaced wheels at the back similar to the BMW Isetta. The 10" rims had tyres with high sidewalls, but I couldn't figure out exactly what tyres they were.Fibreglass and polyester body with chrome trim and a round rubber (?) bumper all around.Torsion arm front suspension similar to old VW beetle but probably using Neidhart spring system. The trailing arm back suspension has rubber rings to absorb road shocks!! Drum brakes on all wheels.
I had to scale dimensions off pictures and found several inconsistencies in specifications, most of which were in French that I don't understand. So this model is as representative as I could get it.
