DESCRIPTION: This is a very detailed 3d model of the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO serial number 3223GT.
HISTORY: This 250 GTO is chassis number 3223GT and was completed on December 1961. It is the very first 250 GTO built. After a promising debut at Bridgehampton, it was successfully campaigned at Nassau where Lorenzo Bandini won the GT class in one race and Charles Hayes in two. Its racing career continued for several more years, and in 1966 it scored a GT class win in the 24 Hours of Daytona in the hands of then owner Larry Perkins and Jack Slottag. The current owner had it restored to its Daytona class winning configuration. The car is a 250 GTO Serie I chassis. It is fitted with a 250 Colombo engine producing 300bhp. The car is equipped with Borrani rims, Avon CR6 ZZ tires, Marchal headlights and other original parts.
