On September 2, 2020, Daimler AG held a presentation of a new generation of the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz line - the S-Class executive sedan with factory code W223. It retained classic proportions with a long bonnet, short front overhang and long wheelbase. But body shaping, compared to the outgoing W222, has become “clean” and minimalistic. The retractable handlebars are not just for style: they give the S-Class a drag coefficient of just 0.22 units, a record low for a full-size production car. At the front, the designers have moved away from the traditional pentagonal grille, on the new S-Class it gravitates to seven corners, and the horizontal grille slats are three-dimensional. The rear of the car immediately attracts attention with triangular taillights.
