Structured randomness is difficult to achieve, but this modeler manages it well with the natural and compelling stone layout for these stairs. Breaks and crevices are detailed and sharp. The 4096x4096 color file allows this model to be rendered large without losing detail, although I typically have to downsize color files by a factor or two for mobile implementation. It was hard choosing a texture from the wide variety offered for this model, each available as a separate purchase. They include different shading styles, sandstone, moss, snow, and even lava. Stairs are a big part of my OpenGL android fantasy game and having these options is handy for different environments including forest, swamp, high cold plateau, or glowing volcanic areas. One adjustment I made programmatically to the object file was to lengthen the model a bit to bring the dimensions to a modular 1x1x2 ratio. Placing a string of these models next to each other for long stair paths gave a smooth transition.
