Amazing
A 3d model (.obj and .dae) of the Mausloleum of Theodoric the Great, in Ravenna, Italy. Theoderic was king of the Ostrogoths, controlling northern Italy in the early 6th century AD, when the Roman Empire was pretty well fallen in the West. The mausoleum is unusual and distinctive, being ten sided, with a cross shaped chamber on its lower storey, and a round one on its upper storey. It was made of Istrian stone, the dome being formed from a single huge block weighing as much as 300 tonnes. No mean architectural achievement for supposed 'barbarians'.
