Line Based Parametric Slats Fence 3D model

This is a line based fully parametric revit family of a slatted fence. Line based families can be loaded into any project and applied by simply drawing a simple line or selecting existing lines in the project. Lines can follow any direction ( horizontal, vertical and/or diagonal ). The selected family type of the fence will be introduced in the place of the selected line in the project.

User can select from the pre-specified fence family types or can create unlimited different variations. With the available parameters in the line based family, one can adjust the overall height of the fence, the dimensions of the posts and the slats dimensions.

Fence posts are introduced every approximately 1,5m. According to the line length drawn in the project, the family will adjust the number of posts to be placed to closely match the distance between them to around 1,5m.

Users can select an approximate gap between the slats since the number of slats introduced depends on the fence height. The program calculated how many slats to place in order to have an integer number of slats in the given height and slats gap.

Materials for the fence posts and slats are also parametric.
